Why We Started
This Journey
When we found our Spanish villa on the Costa del Sol, it was love at first sight — despite the outdated interiors and the long list of work needed. We saw past the tired tiles and dark corners to imagine what could be: a bright, welcoming family home filled with Mediterranean light and character.
But we also knew we had to be realistic. With a family budget and busy lives, a complete luxury renovation wasn't in the cards. Instead, we chose a different path: a slow-paced remodel that prioritizes quality over speed, clever solutions over expensive shortcuts, and DIY whenever possible.
Casa on the Costa was born from our desire to share this journey honestly — the beautiful transformations alongside the challenges, the budget breakdowns, and the lessons learned along the way.
